Do you know a woman who has made substantial contributions to the community through volunteer, business or professional involvement? Is she an exceptional role model for girls? If so, nominate her for the Girl Scouts 2006 Women of Distinction Awards.

Each year the Girl Scout Council of the Congaree Area, Inc., calls upon the public to help us identify women within central SC who exemplify excellence in service, leadership, professionalism, and who also serve as strong role models for girls. All nominations are reviewed on a year–to–year basis. Those who have been nominated in the past, and who have not been previously selected, may be nominated again.

All nominees must currently reside in one of the Girl Scout Council of the Congaree Area, Inc.’s eight county service areas, to include: Richland, Fairfield, Lexington, Sumter, Lancaster, Newberry, Kershaw and Saluda counties, as well as the Town of Great Falls.

Nominees do NOT have to be former Girl Scouts.
