Men Who Have Made a Difference

Friends of the Irmo Library have lined up 20 artists and crafters for this weekend’s Summer Arts and Crafts Fair inside the library at 6251 St. Andrews Road. Both Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 5:30 pm a wide array of licensed artisans will show and sell their handiwork throughout the building. Items will include mosaics, stained glass, ceramics, jewelry, silk botanical arrangements, birdhouses, handmade soaps, and artwork. Canvas ornaments, quilts, soft toys, yard décor wall hangings and beadwork will also be included along with shell designs, embroidered accessories, handmade cards, and gourmet goodies. All work is original and handmade. Organizers encourage shoppers to choose for themselves, their summer hosts, as well as for special occasion gift giving. Library programming and services benefit from a generous percentage of the sales from this annual event.

City of Columbia will host a citywide mega garage sale from 7:30 am–noon in the BellSouth Parking Garage located on the corner of Huger and Hampton Streets. The sale will take place rain or shine. The public is invited to reserve tables and must do so by July 15.
