Nominate SC Mother of the Year

2005-05-06 / Society

Each year, a SC Mother of the Year is selected and honored by the SC Mother of the Year Committee. To qualify for State Mother, a mother must have been married in a legally accepted ceremony and be the mother of one of more children, the youngest being no younger than 15. Mothers with legally adopted children may qualify, but foster children, in the absence of other children, do not qualify a mother.

The mother must be a successful mother and homemaker as evidenced by the character and achievements of her children in the religious, educational, civic, governmental, or business world. She must be an active member of a religious body and a participant in activities in her community. She must be able to meet the responsibilities of her role.

Nominations will be received through October 15. Enclose a self–addressed, stamped envelope with your request for an application to N. H. Hamrick, Nominations Chairman, 2235 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414.
