Miss Knaus and Mr. Harrington wed on Folly Beach, South Carolina

Mrs. Scott HarringtonMrs. Scott Harrington Joy Maria Knaus and Scott Harrington were married Saturday, March 26, 2005. The ceremony took place on the beach at the Folly Beach Nature Preserve. The bride’s father, Earl Knaus, peformed the 2 pm ceremony. The guests, close family, and friends were dressed all in white and barefoot on the beach.

The bride is the daughter of Earl and Christine Knaus of Long Creek Plantation in Blythewood. She is a graduate of Ridge View High School and the College of Charleston. She is currently employed with Richland School District Two at Round Top Elementary as a third grade teacher.

The bridegroom is the son of Irving and Angela Harrington of Six Mile, South Carolina. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in criminal justice. He is currently employed as assistant manager of New Life Fitness World.

The matron of honor was Courtney Knaus, the bride’s sister–in–law, visiting from Rota, Spain. The maid of honor was Jamie Walzer. The bride’s attendants were Allison Bogan, Traci Harrington, and Erin Watrobski. The flower girls were Savannah Harrington and Taylor Bogan.

Irving Harrington Sr. served as best man. The groomsmen were Irv Harrington Jr., Robbie Bogan, Richard Gibson, Christopher Knaus, and Brad Knaus.

The mothers of the bride and bridegroom were readers at the ceremony along with the bride’s two brothers, Christopher and Brad Knaus.

A reception followed the ceremony aboard a Charleston Harbor Cruiseliner. The guests enjoyed dinner, music, and dancing while cruising the Charleston Harbor.

After a week–long honeymoon cruising the Western Caribbean, the couple returned with plans to reside in Lake Wylie, South Carolina.
