Lower Richland High School’s chain gang captain and volunteer football coach, Hugh Hogeye Jones of Hopkins, takes time out from vacation to give some coaching tips to a group of young Costa Rican soccer players at the Dole Banana Plantation in Costa Rica.

Jones was visiting the rain forest and banana fields when he heard the soccer players practicing and couldn’t resist helping them.

The children had a hard time pronouncing the name Hogeye but they all could say “Thanks Coach.”
