Louise Grooms was the hostess for the April meeting of the Petal Pushers Garden Club. She served delicious refreshments. Lovely spring flowers were used in arrangements throughout the house. Margaret Glenn presided at the business meeting, and plans were discussed for the May luncheon and the Awards Luncheon for Garden Council.

Shirley Smith gave a delightful bird report on owls. Betty Lewis and Bernice Folsom reported on the Satchel Ford Elementary School project.

After the meeting, the members toured the beautiful garden of Elaine Tyler in Longcreek. Mrs. Tyler, a master gardener, said that her yard was a “work in progress” as she usually replanted and added new features each year.

The members said they were very impressed with the hundreds of shrubs, spring bulbs, roses, and fish pond and the way the garden was divided into “rooms.”
