Tour of Homes and Gardens goes to Arsenal Hill
The Arsenal Hill neighborhood, north of Finlay Park in downtown Columbia, will be the setting for Historic Columbia's Second Annual Tour of Homes and Gardens, May 13–15, 2005. The annual event will explore the exteriors, interiors, and gardens of a variety of residences and businesses in a neighborhood that spans more than 100 years of architectural history.
The weekend will begin with a luncheon and lecture, Grounded in the Past: Historic Lessons and Innovative Concepts in Gardening. On May 14 and 15 several guided tours and carriage rides will be given of the Arsenal Hill neighborhood. Tickets for the luncheon are limited and can be purchased for $30 by calling 803-252-7742 x22.
