Safko spoke to the Explorers Club last Friday on “Finding planets around other stars .” Next month Dr. Bill Stanley, professor emeritus of geography at USC and a 40–year veteran of the dust and mud of Africa will reveal how he has managed to profit professionally from rascals and refugees.
