  • This year’s Wild Women’s Tea Party will take place April 30 at the Ensor–Keenan House. For the first time, this year’s event will include a silent auction of tea pots and tea cups which have been transformed into works of art by local artists. Included is a tea pot created by Patty Schafer (artist and owner of Purple Alley) that includes buttons collected from her mother. The buttons have sentimental value and are a tribute to her mother who died of cancer.
  • Work from other artists is currently being held at Purple Alley (114 State Street) and Carolina Gallery.

In addition to being a spectacular experience for women, the Wild Women’s Tea Party is a benefit event for Wellspring Resource Center. Founded in 1993, this nonprofit volunteer organization was created to advocate an approach to health that values the whole person, integrating the mind, body, spirit, and emotions. Proceeds from the Wild Women’s Tea Party will allow Wellspring to provide financial support to the USC’s Goodbodies program, a weight management program for children and teens. Event proceeds will also provide financing for DHEC’s nationally syndicated Fibromyalgia, Arthritis & Lupus Self-Help Course.
