World Affairs Council Members are accepting nominations for the 2005 Global Vision Award, a blacktie gala dinner. The award will be given to an individual, organization, or business that has best demonstrated vision toward advancement of international affairs in SC. Event nominations must be received by March 7. Tibetan Buddhists invite the community to join them for Losar, the traditional Tibetan new year festivities in March, welcoming the Year of the Wood Bird . SC Dharma Group will host a Tibetan meal with a cultural film and a raffle with proceeds to assist tsunami victims. The festivities will be held March 5 at 6 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 2701 Heyward Street. 695-0612

Family Connection of SC will present Of Hopes and Dreams Conference XI—The Games of Life. The conference is developed to explore challenges caring for children with developmental disabilities, chronic illnesses, and health needs.
