Local authors set stories in Atlanta

Robert Lamb, the author of Atlanta Blues will be signing his book at the SC Book Festival this weekend. Lamb’s book is about the psychological repercussions of seeing evil. Lamb said, “Seeing evil day in and day out takes a toll on even the toughest cops and reporters, said Lamb. Lamb based the cop in his book on a friend who unraveled the case of a missing girl over a decade ago.

Lamb was a crime beat reporter for the Atlanta Constitution. This sharpened his edge as a writer. He now teaches both magazine article writing and creative writing at USC.

Dawson PerkinsDawson Perkins Dawson Perkins will sign The Team at the festival. Her book shows the connection between professional athletes and sexual exploitation. The heroine in The Team tries so hard to be strong after she is raped she almost self–destructs. Trust, tenderness, and truth help her let her guard down; however, when her assailant comes to Atlanta, she faces her trauma all over again.

Perkins is presently a manager with a financial services company.
