Columbia author Karren Hill Gordon revealed her sources and shared her experiences as an author at this month’s meeting of the American Association of University Women. Gordon’s first book, Angels and Suits , is a collection of inspirational memories of the positive ways fathers, husbands, mentors, and friends can contribute to the development of confident and effective women leaders.

Gordon, a professional consultant, mentor, and community leader has a special interest in leadership development for teen girls and young women. She is the developer of the AAUW Greater Columbia Sisters in Action summits for middle school girls, funded through a 2003 award from AAUW.
