Crayton Middle School announces its Classified Employee of the Year
Crayton Middle School’s Johnnie Clark is the Classified Employee of the Year for 2005–06. Clark is an instructional assistant in a special needs class at Crayton Middle School. In the classroom, the well being and success of his students is foremost to him. He works to generate activities to motivate them to want to learn. Clark looks for resources to help students attain success with the social or academic skill being modeled or taught. He genuinely cares and believes that every child has the potential to learn.
Clark is very energetic and works to stay involved with the education of his students and the community spirit at Crayton Middle School. Each year, he has been instrumental in Collecting Pennies for Patients and The Giving Tree projects.
Outside of school, Clark directs a summer camp for children ages 6–18 years from disadvantaged, low socioeconimic families. Without this camp, many of these children would probably never have an opportunity for such a rewarding experience.
