Magazine features Wildewood home
Christmas decoration isn’t over for Ray and Linda Collison who live in Wildewood. It is mid–January, yet the Collison’s home remains filled with the Christmas spirit and exquisite Christmas decorations.
“Normally, we love to linger over the holiday event,” Linda explained. “But this year, we have left the decorations up for a special reason.”
The Collison home of collected Christmas ornaments from past to present will be featured in the 2005 December issue of South Carolina Homes and Gardens , a Southern Homes Publication. Ted Borge, a photographer who used to shoot for Wildlife magazine spent five and a half hours taking pictures of the home for next year’s Christmas spread.
“We were floored when Beth Phillips, the assistant editor for South Carolina Homes and Gardens asked us if we would mind sharing our home with the magazine for the 2005 Christmas edition,” Ray Collison said.
Eleven years ago, when the widow and widower married, they pulled their Christmas ornaments together and invited their Sunday school church group to come to dinner. Now, their Christmas guest list exceeds 60 for a sit–down dinner.
