AC FLORA Boys – (3–6) The Falcons started this past week falling to rival Dreher 68–58. Eric Booker scored 18 points while Jerome Caughman and Xavier Bovain each posted 10. Friday’s match with Spring Valley was a heartbreaker as the Vikings prevailed 58–55. In that game Booker was good for 18 points and Caughman added 11.

AC FLORA Girls – (3–6) Tiara Knotts’s 19 points, 12 from Ce Ce Canty and 11 more from Laura Lane Steele, weren’t enough as the Lady Falcons lost to undefeated Dreher 65–47. Friday the Lady Falcons romped by Spring Valley 60–41 led by Knotts’s 21 points and Lane Steele’s 14.

DREHER Boys – (4–4) The Blue Devils pulled even by taking A.C. Flora in overtime 68–58. Balanced scoring came from Lawrence Carter (17 pts), Drew Dixon (13), Cato White (12) and Curtis Sharp (10).

DREHER Girls – (4–0) Keturah Jackson’s 28 pts topped the scoring as the Lady Blue Devils defeated Flora 65– 47. Audrey Castor and Ashley Morris each scored 12.

LOWER RICHLAND Girls – (4–1) Morgan Stroman and Fanny Goodwin were the top points producers

in L.R.’s 45–22 victory over Aiken.

CARDINAL NEWMAN Boys – (6–2) The Cardinals, playing in the Holy Angels Tournament at Charlotte,

collected 23 points from Brent Zokan and 13 from JP Nerbun in Friday’s opening game but lost 57–51. On Saturday Nerbun fired in 21, and Zokan had 11, but the Cards fell to Bishop McKinney 61–50.

HAMMOND Boys – (4–3) The Skyhawks traveled to Charleston for the Porter–Gaud Holiday Classic. Goose Creek took a 61–46 victory. Pete Billas led Hammond with 10 points. Charlotte Country Day defeated the Skyhawks 60–42 in the second game of the tourney. But Hammond bounced back Monday with a 65–59 victory over St. Johns. Frank Martin (21 points), Lex Patrick (14) and Wilson McWilliams (12) led the scoring.

HAMMOND Girls – (5–1) The Lady Skyhawks continued to play well at Charleston. Led by Margaret Clay’s 18 points and Sarah Parker Mounce’s 13, Hammond topped Charlotte Country Day 52–48.

HEATHWOOD HALL Boys – (3–3) The Highlanders opened with a 60–27 victory over Bishop Finney in the Porter–Gaud Tournament. JD Whalen and Odist Harmon each scored 10 points. Despite 20 points from Harmon, 16 from Whalen, and 10 from David Kirby , Hammond fell 71–65 to Bishop England in overtime during the second game. Brandon Gantt and Whalen both scored 10 in Monday’s 73–49 loss to Goose Creek.
