Fifteen student volunteers were honored last week for their outstanding service at Fast Forward, community technology center. Additionally, nine more youth were recognized for their service.

2004 Fast Forward Youth Volunteers honored with Presidential Service Awards also received certificates from US Senator Lindsey Graham, SC Senator John Courson, Representative James Smith, and Governor Mark Sanford as well as certificates from Fast Forward.

At a reception in their honor, students receiving Presidential Service Awards were Jessica Bennett, Kyle Reesor, Renee Aelion-Leatherman, Casey Stiglbauer, Nick Adkins, Elizabeth Adkins, Tess Markovsky, Greg Marcil, Alex Ruffin, Kathryn Vickers, Susannah Vickers, Evan Reesor, Brenna Bernardin, Amelia Mandell, and Ben Lipton.

Other awardees were Tommy Alexander, Jessica Peay, Devante Patrick, Alanna Murday, Robert Switzer, Stan Adkins, Laura Gilchrist, Spencer Gilchrist, and Makeba Jeffcoat.
