event are Dale Myers, event chair; MJ Hassell;

Ina Edens, district governor; Dottie Munsch; Alisa Mosley;
and Jo Anne Wessinger Hill.
Zonta, a world–wide women’s service organization of executives in business, framed a perfect strike for Columbia recently when it set up its third annual bowling event.
The $6,000 raised during Bowling for Zonta will benefit at least three community service projects. Killingsworth Home; LEER, a literacy project for Hispanic children; and a scholarship program for area women with business goals are among the key community projects that will benefit.
Zonta’s ongoing involvement with Killingsworth Home will continue early in 2005 with a series of intimate workshops aimed at helping Killingsworth residents recognize, appreciate, and enhance their assets. Zonta members will be presenters. Killingsworth, a United Methodist ministry, is a transition home for women in crisis.
LEER, a literacy project for at–risk Hispanic children, headquartered at Arden Elementary School, is directed by Mari Hernandez–Tuten.
Zonta’s Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship is awarded each year to a third or fourth year college or university student. This year’s recipient is Weiying Zhang, a business major from China.
Corporate sponsors of the annual event held at Columbia Lanes included Dutch Square, AARP, Columbia AMF Lanes, Michelin Tire Corporation, and Modern Exterminating Company.
