Crayton Middle School celebrates Veterans Day

Crayton Middle School math teacher Col. Randy Hurtt with his sons Marcos, Matthew, and Micah. Hurtt is government team chief for the 360th Civil Affairs Brigade (Airborne) with the US Army Reserve. Crayton Middle School held its annual patriotic celebration on Veterans Day. The Crayton band entertained military families and guests. The AC Flora ROTC presented the colors. Senator–elect Joel Lourie installed new student council leaders.

Sojourners from Fort Jackson explained the meaning of each star and stripe of the American flag. Guests watched a video of the Medal of Honor recipients. Members of the SC State Guard presented a commemorative book of the SC Medal of Honor recipients to the Crayton Media Center.
