Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands is celebrating Hopelights December 5. The artwork was created by a direct survivor of sexual trauma or a secondary survivor through art therapy. The evening will also include a silent auction, reception at the Capital City Club, live music, and the presentation of the Hope Awards. 252-8393

The Salvation Army and Harvest Hope Food Bank are partnering for the holiday season to provide food boxes and toys to families in need December 13–17 at the State Fair Grounds in the Ruff and Hampton buildings. Volunteers are needed during the week. 765-0260

The National Association of Retired Federal Employees will hold its monthly luncheon

Music

The nationally syndicated teen radio talk show Teen Forum Show will hold a concert to benefit the Carolina Children’s Home Friday, December 10 at the USC Recital Hall at 7:30 pm. The concert will feature classical pianists Samiron Ray and Amy Zhang. Tickets are $7.

The Festival of Lessons and Carols Christmas concert extends an open invitation to ring in the holidays December 5–7 at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Devine Street. Program times are 3 pm, December 5, and 7:30 pm December 6 and 7. 254-7646 ext. 5.

Theatre

The SC Shakespeare Company in collaboration with Workshop Theatre is presenting Barbara LeBow’s Tiny Tim Is Dead . Performances will be held at Workshop Theatre December 10–11 and 16–18 at 8 pm.
