Trinity Cathedral Bazaar to be held November 13
Trinity Cathedral’s 56th annual Bazaar will be held Saturday, November 13, from 10 am–3 pm on the Trinity block at Sumter and Senate Streets in downtown Columbia. The purpose of the bazaar is to raise funds that will be funneled back into the community in support of the following organizations:
•CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) trains and educates volunteers to represent abused and neglected children in the state’s court system.
• Children’s Garden is a licensed childcare center that offers comprehensive child development services for children ages six weeks to five years for families in need or crisis or who have become homeless.
• Epworth Children’s Home Early Intervention Program is an educational services and assistance in providing therapy and medical equipment for families with special needs children.
• Free Medical Clinic provides quality healthcare at no cost to residents of the community who are not able to pay or do not have insurance.
• Sexual Trauma Services provides assistance through a volunteer program to sexual assault survivors through a crisis hotline, individual crisis counseling, and therapy.
Members of the Trinity family have been working for the better part of a year to make this year’s bazaar the best ever. Homemade baked goods, crafts, books, gently used clothing, Christmas decorations, local art, plants, handmade toys, homemade pickles, a bargain basement, frozen foods, children’s clothes, and a children’s carnival highlight this annual event.
