TNBA is a non–profit organization organized in 1939. It has affiliates in the US and Bermuda. TNBA is divided into four regions. SC is in the Southern Region. Local organizations within a region are called senates. SC’s senates are Columbia/Irmo, Grand Strand, Greater Florence, and Low Country. Each region holds a tournament annually in November. The national tournament is held in a different city each year. Atlanta was host city for 2003; Columbia, 2004; and Houston will host in 2005.
