A.C. Flora (2–6)

The Falcons fell to the Camden Bulldogs 28–25 with solid work from fullback Chris Younts (14 carries, 109 yards) and linemen Patrick Garrison (85% grade, four knockdown blocks) and Braden Sanders (84% grade, two pancake blocks, three knockdowns). Scoring were Chris Gaddist (one TD), Marquis Clark 14–yard TD pass to Justin Redmon and Will Lewis 36–yard TD toss to Mo Holler . Defensively, Clark (10 tackles, one interception, two point conversion.) and kicker Chris Mircea (two PAT, 27–yard field goal).

Flora hosts Chapin.

Dreher (3–5)

Leading the Blue Devils offense were Nick Bethea (161 yards, two TDs) and DaMarcus Jones (145 yards, one TD). Dreher defeated Midland Valley 18–15. Linebacker John Guerry led the defense with 19 tackles.

Dreher travels to face the Strom Thurmond Rebels.

Lower Richland (1–7)

The Diamond Hornets lost to Irmo 35–0. Season statistics show quarterback Travis Malloy (650 yards passing; 186 rushing, two TDs). C.J. Brown (leading rusher 254 yards, two TDs). Top defenders are Nick Stiffler (73 tackles) Jermaine Mack (58 tackles, three sacks) Kevin Seery (57 tackles) and Robert Dinkins (51 tackles, 10 sacks),

This Friday, L.R. is home to play Dutch Fork.

Cardinal Newman (4–4) Hammond School defeated the Cardinals 35–7. The Cards’ top runner was Mike Culbertson (15 carries, 103 yards). CN’s touchdown was a 24–yard pass from quarterback Chris Scott to Erik Ballou . Brent Lufty added the PAT. Top defenders were Collins Harper (10 tackles, one int.), Scott (nine tackles) and Giacomo Ray (six tackles, one sack.)

Cardinal Newman will be at Bishopville against R.E. Lee.

Hammond School (8–0) Nick Theodore scored three TDs as Hammond defeated Cardinal Newman. Frank Martin and Jerry Kuilan also scored on runs. Receiver/kicking specialist Matt Andrews had a stellar night offensively (five receptions, 105 yards, five PAT) and on defense partially blocked a punt, intercepted a pass and had two punts for 70 yards, five PAT). The balanced defense held the Cardinals to less than 200 yards.

Hammond will be at Augusta Christian.

Heathwood Hall (8–0)

The Highlanders defeated R.E. Lee 42–0. Quarterback Brandon Gantt and receiver J.D. Whalen keyed the offense. Gantt (10/13 passing, 205 yards, three TDs; four carries, 70 yards, one TD). Whalen (five rec. 129 yards, two TDs; on defense two int.). Center Gus Herlong graded 91%, two knockdowns).

Also, on defense, Montgomery Morris (4 tackles, fumble recovery and two pass breakups)

Ben Lippen will visit Heathwood Hall.
