Nickelodeon Theatre celebrates 25th anniversary with Silver Screen Gala

Nickelodeon members and guests voted for their favorite movie picks during last week’s Silver Screen Gala at the Meridian Tower Rooftop and Penthouse.
Voted favorite animated film was Triplets of Belleville , favorite classic was Casablanca , favorite cult film was Monte Python and the Holy Grail , favorite documentary was Winged Migration .

The Fourth Annual Film Festival picks were

, favorite Native American Film. There were ties in three other categories. For the Latin American Film Festival, there will be a runoff between
City of God
and
Maria Full of Grace
. The African–American/ International Film Festival will choose between
Lumumba
and Standing in the Shadows of Motown
. Tied for favorites in the Jewish Film Festival were
Gloomy Sunday
and
Autumn Sun
.
Committees will be polled in order to break these ties.
Nickelodeon’s winter Oscar Party, paying tribute to the 77th annual awards ceremony, will be held Sunday, February 27, 2005.
