Miss Hornsby and Mr. Smith marry on Edisto Island

Mrs. Brandon Waller Smith Mary Coleman Horn-sby and Brandon Waller Smith were married October 2, 2004, at 5 pm at Cypress Trees Plantation on Edisto Island. The Reverend William Kinnett performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lovick Newton Hornsby Jr. Her maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ernest L. Isenhower. Her paternal grandparents are Mrs. Lovick N. Hornsby and the late Mr. Hornsby. The bride graduated from Hammond School, attended Baylor University, and graduated from the College of Charleston and USC Law School. She is employed by Griffith, Sadler & Sharpe, Beaufort, SC.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Christopher Smith. His maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Waller. His paternal grandparents are Mrs. Elizabeth Smith and the late Mr. Ronald Smith. The bridegroom graduated from Lumberton High School, Lumberton, North Carolina. He is a graduate of Wofford College and the USC School of Law. He is employed by Vaux & Marscher, P.A.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, L. Newton Hornsby Jr. The maid of honor was Tara Marie Schultz. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Virginia T. Boone, Amanda Martin, Mrs. Jean D. Kinard, and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Whitehouse.

The bridegroom’s father, Mr. C. Christopher Smith, served as best man. The groomsmen were Ryan Payton Boone, Christopher James Smith, Lovick Newton Hornsby III and Joseph Reed Thompson.

The reception was held at Cypress Trees Plantation. After the honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Beaufort, South Carolina.
